Born, raised and living in Springfield, Tim’s entire personal, political, and professional career has been rooted in Springfield. Tim attended Cathedral High School, Springfield Technical Community College, and American International College (AIC). Tim graduated from AIC and began his career as a volunteer in the Springfield City Council Office. Eventually from hanging around so long then City Clerk Billy Metzger interviewed him for a Full Time position. Later Tim moved into the Office of the Mayor under Mayor Richard E. Neal. After a successful run for Congress, Tim joined Congressman Neal’s Springfield congressional office where he handled and processed constituent inquiries and requests. In 1995, Tim left the Congressman’s office to join Chase, Clark, Stewart, & Fontana Insurance where he had a successful career of building a $4M book of business and managing a team of professionals from within the agency. Tim rose to a position of Vice President before leaving to join Axia Insurance Services where he wrote $2M in new business within his first two years. Notably, Tim served on the Springfield City Council as At-Large City Councilor from 1995 - until 2018 when he chose not to seek re-election when his Father was diagnosed with end term Alzheimers's.

Tim chose to get involved with the cannabis industry when it first became legal. He later became a Licensed Cultivator with the State of Massachusetts and was involved with the cultivation process from seed to sale at one of Massachusetts largest outdoor cannabis farms. Tim sees the three legs of cannabis as an emerging industry that can translate into valuable opportunities to help others. Just as Tim was helped at STCC as a parking lot attendant.
